Independence Group NL invites applications from suitably qualified Paramedic/Emergency Response professionals with industry experience to undertake a temporary role at our Lightning Nickel "Long Victor" operation.
Availability for an immediate start (on or before 03 January 2013 for a 3 month period ending on the 03 April 2013) is essential.
To be considered, you must have:
a Paramedic qualification;
experience in Mine Rescue and Emergency Response procedures in an underground mining environment;
a good working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Legislation, including Mines Safety Inspection Act and Regulations and Workers Compensation Legislation.
This temporary role will involve:
providing First aid and emergency services to employees and contractors across the operation;
conducting scheduled inspections of all on site medical facilities and Mines Rescue equipment including Mines Ambulance;
stock take and ordering of the mine medical and ambulance supplies;
participation in Mines Rescue Training activities; and
ownership of the Mines Primary Emergency call out phone whilst on site.
We can offer you:
an excellent hourly / day rate;
the option of FIFO from Perth or residential from Kalgoorlie / Kambalda.
