IGO is currently searching for a Site Registered Nurse with Mining experience for our Nova Project. Reporting to the OHS Manager, this is a Permanent full time position on an 9:5 FIFO roster from Perth.


Key accountabilities for this role would include:
Facilitate Injury Management including liaising with other health professionals, supporting injured workers, administering and monitoring Return to Work Plans that enhance workers ability to return to full capacity in the most effective manner;
Provide strong leadership in the co-ordination of the site Emergency Response Team (ERT), including developing and facilitating Emergency Response Training;
Provide guidance, to all personnel on effective Health & Wellbeing practices;
Ensure ongoing compliance of all safety systems;
Conduct Safety Inspections and Work Observations on a regular basis;
Support timely Injury Incident Investigations, and associated reporting;
Ensure biological monitoring is done in accordance with Hygiene Management Plan;
Develop, review and facilitate risk assessments and rescue plans for confined spaces; and
Resolve conflicts in a straight-forward manner that benefits all stakeholders.



To be successful in this role, you will require:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and AHPRA Registration;
HLTPAT304D – Collect Pathology specimens other than blood certificate;
A minimum of 5 years’ Nursing experience (Emergency Department and/or remote area Nursing);
Experience within the mining industry including exposure to Underground;
Demonstrated experience providing medical treatment and emergency response within a remote location;
A “C” Class Drivers Licence (Manual);
Demonstrated IT Skills including medical database systems, safety systems and finance systems;
An understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements; and
Exceptional communication and organisational skills and the ability to influence people.
